Purolator Inc. is hiring for a PM Sorter in Richmond, BC. You will work Saturday to Wednesday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, 40 hours per week, in a warehouse setting.

We offer on-site duties, forklift/pallet jack handling, and training provided. English proficiency is required to coordinate with teams and carriers, with wage rates posted in the collective agreement. The role involves sorting freight by destination, weight, and size, loading/unloading trucks, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• No specialized education required.
• No experience necessary.
• Forklift certification and power pallet jack training are assets but not required.
• Proficiency in English is required for communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Forklift and power pallet jack use.
• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out.
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer.
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items.
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted items and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
