Job summary

Richardson International is a leading Canadian agriculture and food processing company with a long history and multiple facilities across Canada. This role involves warehouse operations, loading/unloading, inventory accuracy, and safety compliance at Richardson Oilseed sites.

Candidates must have a Grade 12, forklift and high-reach licences, and be able to use RF scanners. Experience and overtime willingness are required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Valid forklift and high reach licence or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to use radio frequency scanner.
• Minimum of 3 years previous experience.
• Must be willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health and safety requirements and workplace policies.
• Perform loading and off-loading functions of trailers and/or warehouse transfers.
• Ensure accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
• Communicate deviations of loading/unloading schedule to the supervisor.
• Perform physical counts of inventory as directed.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules
• Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times: Always using the required personal protective equipment
• Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
• Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
• Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
• Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
• Perform loading and off-loading functions of trailers and/or warehouse transfers
• Ensure loading of quality finished product with no visible non-conformities for all customers and/or transfer orders
• Responsible for accurate inventory and reporting all discrepancies
• Communicate any deviations of the loading/unloading schedule to the Operations Supervisor or Logistics Coordinator
• Perform all aspects of computerized bills of lading
• Perform physical counts of inventory as directed
• Other duties as assigned
