Job summary

destinationone Consulting is hiring a Mechanical Inspector in London Central, Ontario, to assess mechanical systems for code compliance, safety, and performance across multiple sites. You will review plans, perform on-site inspections, and coordinate with contractors, engineers and municipal staff to ensure installations meet requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Review mechanical plans and specifications to verify they meet all required regulations and technical requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, elevators, and other mechanical installations at various stages of construction and operation.
  • Identify and document violations, deficiencies, or hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, compliance, and enforcement actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to contractors, engineers, and property owners regarding mechanical codes and safety practices.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints related to mechanical installations and code compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in mechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure accurate inspections and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other municipal departments and agencies to address and resolve mechanical-related issues.
