Job summary

Calstone Search Group seeks an experienced Red Seal Plumber to join our client’s team in Northern Ontario. You will install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including hydronic heating, across mining sites and facilities.

The role requires 5+ years of plumbing experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to travel to remote mine sites. Gas technician license is preferred and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Certification (Construction and Maintenance Plumber – 306A) required.
  • Gas Technician License (G2 or G1 preferred) requested.
  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain commercial/industrial plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, and piping.
  • Service plumbing infrastructure at mining sites and related networks.
  • Install and troubleshoot hydronic heating systems and boilers.
  • Read mechanical drawings and specifications to perform work.
  • Ensure safety, compliance with codes, and quality workmanship.

Job description

Our client, a leading commercial and industrial mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC and plumbing, are searching for an experienced Red Seal Plumber to join their team. The company prides themselves on delivering high-quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions to clients across Northern Ontario.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Plumber will work on commercial, industrial, and mining projects, including installation, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems. The role requires a motivated professional who thrives in hands-on, safety-focused environments and is comfortable working both locally and at remotely across projects in Northern Ontario.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install, assemble, and maintain commercial and industrial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and piping systems
  • Install and service plumbing infrastructure at mining sites, including associated piping networks
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydronic heating systems, including boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, and related components
  • Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, thread, and join pipes using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Diagnose plumbing system issues and perform repairs efficiently and safely
  • Perform preventative maintenance on hydronic boilers and mechanical systems
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
  • Ensure systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes
  • Work safely in commercial, industrial, and mining environments, including remote locations
  • Follow all occupational health and safety regulations, company safety procedures, and client site requirements
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion
  • Support project timelines and maintain quality workmanship standards
  • Provide technical input and assist with system commissioning when required
REQUIREMENTS
  • Red Seal Certification (Construction and Maintenance Plumber – 306A)
  • Gas Technician License (G2 or G1 preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience in commercial and/or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote mine sites
