Job summary

ACQBUILT is seeking a licensed plumber to install and repair plumbing systems across multiple sites, including residential, commercial and industrial facilities. You will read blueprints, measure and cut pipes, and ensure proper pipe sizing and connections.

The role involves supervising 1 to 2 helpers, instructing apprentices, and maintaining safety standards on diverse job sites. A Registered Apprenticeship certificate and Plumber Trade Certification are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing installations and repairs
• Knowledge reading blueprints and specifications
• Leadership or instructing apprentices
• Strong safety awareness and driving record

Responsibilities

• Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system
• Instruct apprentices
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, cement or soldering
• Schedule personnel, tools and equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
• Supervise other workers
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
