Job summary

Autism Services is seeking motivated individuals for an apprenticeship in plumbing across various locations in Canada. The role involves installing and repairing plumbing systems for domestic, commercial, and industrial facilities, with hands-on learning through all levels of the apprenticeship.

Applicants should be prepared to locate pipe positions, cut openings, assemble joints, test for leaks, and measure pipe sizes.

Qualifications

• Pre-apprenticeship training completed.
• Level 1–3 apprenticeship training in plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size.
