Job summary

Automation Integrators in Calgary, AB is seeking a PLC Programmer to design, implement, and maintain control systems across multiple sites in Canada. The role involves onsite startup and commissioning with occasional travel, using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, and integrating VFDs and robotics to optimize manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, document systems thoroughly, and ensure safety and industry compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Technologist or Engineering Degree with a focus on Industrial Automation.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in control systems engineering in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of VFDs and industrial networking.
  • Experience with Windows Server and related IT basics.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and program control systems using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
  • Implement and configure VFDs for various applications.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot robotics systems to improve production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve automation issues.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of control systems and processes.
  • Provide onsite technical support and training to maintenance and production staff.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
