Job summary

DataRealm in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking an Automation Specialist to design, program, and implement automation systems across diverse projects. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, delivering high-quality solutions on-site.

The role requires strong communication, CAD drafting skills, and experience with Cognex/Keyence vision systems. Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus, and candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada/US or hold TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3+ years in automation, controls, or related field; automotive experience preferred.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Siemens and Rockwell).
• Experience with Cognex and Keyence vision systems.
• Strong communication, CAD skills, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and program automation and control systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
• Prepare detailed project documentation and schematics.
• Identify problems and provide guidance for resolution.
• Interact with customers to understand requirements and tailor solutions.
• Maintain design specifications and progress documentation.
