Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Ontario is seeking a PLC/Controls Specialist to enhance the reliability of automation systems. This full-time, on-site position requires a degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, developing control projects, and maintaining PLC programs. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from CAD 60,000 to CAD 100,000, plus benefits in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma or higher in Electrical/Software/Process Engineering or a related field.
• 3 or more years’ experience in a Controls and Automation role including PLC software and hardware installation and maintenance.
• Strong working knowledge of industrial control systems, process automation, instrumentation, and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance team with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving equipment issues.
• Ensure Controls related work orders are scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
• Build new PLC (software + hardware) for upgradation of existing and new machinery.
