Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join its Junior and Senior Kindergarten learning teams in a full-day Early Learning Program. The role includes leading before/after-school activities and collaborating with classroom teachers to support play-based learning and student development.

Qualified candidates will have an ECE credential (two-year college program) and current registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators,

Qualifications

• Two-year community college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Immunization record with MMR and Tdap immunizations, or proof of having chicken pox.
• Police Records Check for Vulnerable Sector within the last 6 months (5 years for current staff).

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, play-based education to JK/SK in a full-day program.
• Lead before/after-school extended programming for OCDSB students.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher on daily activities with students.
• Work with diverse families and communities with sensitivity.
