Job summary

Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Registered Early Childhood Educator to join a full-day Early Learning Program, working under the Principal and collaborating with classroom teachers to support developmental learning. Qualifications

• Two-year college program in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators in good standing is required.
• Minimum of one year of child care experience is required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Immunization records including MMR and Tdap are required for OCDSB hires after Sept 1, 2022.
• Recent Police Records Check (VSC) for new OCDSB employees is required (last 6 months; 5 years for current staff).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teacher to deliver high-quality play-based education for JK students.
• Lead extended before/after-school program at designated elementary schools.
• Contribute to daily classroom activities with students and staff.
