Job summary

Nokia is seeking a test engineer to help qualify Ethernet and Optics platform components for data center, enterprise and CSP products. You will design, develop, automate, and execute tests to verify conformance against specifications and collaborate with Software, Hardware, Firmware and Product Management teams to drive features to completion.

You will work with hardware and software teams to troubleshoot issues, build automated test suites in Linux, and learn industry best practices in QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems, Software, Electrical or Communications or equivalent.
• Scripting language experience (TCL, Python, Perl, shell).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to best practices.

Responsibilities

• Validate and qualify Media Dependent Adapter components on Nokia routers (7750 SR, 7250, 7220 IXR, 7330 SXR).
• Maintain and use lab test equipment including traffic generators and optical measurement devices; balance hands-on work with automation.
• Develop and enhance automated test cases for Linux-based regression environments.
• Troubleshoot issues with software and hardware teams to investigate and resolve bugs.
• Learn best practices in software development, configuration management and QA automation.
