Your Team
Join the Information Technology team at Flair as aPlatform Operations Analyst, supporting the operation, delivery, and continuous improvement of one of Flair’s core digital platforms in a fast-paced, office-based environment. In this role, you will act as a key liaison between strategy and execution, coordinating deployments, managing enhancements, resolving issues, and ensuring clear communication to minimize disruption to operations. You will collaborate with airport operations, support, airport IT, commercial teams, and external vendors to maintain system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-minded, and thrives in dynamic environments. You bring strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration. This role reports to theDigital Product Managerand is based on-site at any of our offices inCalgary, AB (YYC), Edmonton, AB (YEG), or Vancouver, BC (YVR). Occasional travel and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required to support operational needs.
A Day In The Life
Platform Operations Analyst, you will:
- Manage day-to-day operations of a core system, including backlog grooming, bug triaging, and release coordination.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding functionality and delivery status.
- Partner with IT support to prioritize bug fixes and suggest features to alleviate user pain points.
- Partner with Airport IT to integrate software products into airport hardware.
- Partner with airport change manager to seamlessly roll out new features.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Perform QA and UAT to ensure bugs are resolved and features meet business needs.
- Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and integrations.
- Conduct detailed analyses of existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Evaluate applications for potential security risks and implement necessary safeguards.
- Develop and maintain a feedback system to monitor application performance and reporting effectiveness.
- Validate data and software content prior to deployment for operational use.
- Analyze complex data sets to deliver insights and support informed decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in business analysis or system management (e.g., CBAP, ITIL) are considered an asset.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in platform analytics, operational support, systems delivery, or product coordination, preferably within complex or mission-critical environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems integration, process optimization, and software testing.
- Proficient in developing and maintaining comprehensive system documentation and user guides.
- Skilled in analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.
- Comfortable collaborating with development teams in an agile software development environment.
- Confident in managing relationships and communication with external vendors.
- Experience in the aviation industry is considered a strong asset.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to proactively share information before stakeholders request it.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical proficiency in understanding system integrations, APIs, and security protocols.
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently identify issues, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvements.
- Confident in investigating irregularities or incidents through log analysis, data review, and user feedback to perform thorough root cause analysis.
- Skilled in defining, monitoring, and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure platform health and operational success.
- Comfortable operating within a highly regulated industry, ensuring compliance with standards and protocols.
- Requirements:
- Clear criminal record check and satisfactory references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
- Must have a valid passport for travel across the airline’s network.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
