Job summary

Procom is seeking a Platform & Integration Software Engineer for its corporate team in Toronto. This is a permanent, full-time role that can be remote or hybrid. You will design APIs and data contracts, build adapters, and integrate with Salesforce and other systems while ensuring security and auditability.

You will collaborate with a Document Intelligence & AI Engineer to align architecture, decisions, and production-grade software practices across cross-system components.

Qualifications

• Experience building production APIs, services, or data-processing integrations using Python, Java, or C#/.NET.
• Designing data contracts, authentication schemes, and error handling for enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of reliability patterns (queues, retries, sync vs async) and applying appropriate choices.
• Implementing security and least-privilege for sensitive data.
• Strong collaboration with document-intelligence/AI specialists and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement APIs and service interfaces for document-package submission, processing status, results, validation, review actions, and export.
• Define stable data contracts covering documents, extracted fields, source evidence, confidence indicators, validation results, and corrections.
• Build integration adapters to avoid dependency on a single provider's internal data structures.
• Choose and implement processing/recovery patterns (queues, retries, sync v. async) based on volume and latency.
• Persist original machine output separately from corrected values, reviewer decisions, reasons, and audit events.
• Integrate with enterprise systems (Salesforce, document repositories, storage, identity services).
• Apply security, privacy, least-privilege, and encryption practices for sensitive financial data.
• Contribute to automated testing, deployment, configuration management, logging, and monitoring.
