Job summary

Apple is seeking a Platform Architect within the Canadian Field Engineering team to guide the build of best-in-class IT practices that scale our platform across customer environments. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping partners deploy, manage, and secure the platform at scale while shaping long-term service offerings for ongoing customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically 7 years of experience deploying and managing Apple technology across large complex heterogeneous IT environments.
• Extensive knowledge of platform security architecture, including security and compliance.
• Deep expertise with Mac client management solutions (Jamf, Omnissa Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, pkgbuild, autopkg, Packages, Composer).
• Expertise with Identity Provider solutions (Microsoft Entra, Okta).
• Experience with programming languages (Python, Swift, Ruby).
• Unix shell scripting expertise (Bourne, bash, zsh).
• Telemetry, APM, digital employee experience tools (osquery or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of Windows equivalents of above.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows, macOS and iOS/iPadOS.

Responsibilities

• Deeply understand customer and partner organizations and be a trusted advisor on Apple hardware, software and services.
• Work across Apple and channel partners to build technical practices at partner orgs and support end customers.
• Deliver the technical enablement strategy and readiness initiatives to integrate Apple into partner offerings.
• Regularly assess and communicate the strength and efficiency of partner capabilities.
• Guide and shadow partner organizations in their customer implementations.
