Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Feversham, Ontario, is seeking a Plastics Production Operator (Starlinger) with forklift duties to join our growing team. You will operate Starlinger plastics machinery via PLC touch screens, ensure a continuous feed of resin, clear jams, and perform basic troubleshooting to keep production within spec.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with experience in quality assurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Ability to consistently follow processes and perform tasks as instructed.
• Follow health and safety standards and maintain a clean work station.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastics machinery via PLC touch screens.
• Maintain a steady supply of resin and clear jams as needed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative tasks to meet specs and avoid downtime.
• Conduct quality inspections for each product produced.
• Follow GMP, HACCP and 5S procedures to keep a clean, organized area.
• Document downtime, downtime reasons, and quality issues.
• Direct finished goods to silo storage or bags for shipping.
• Conduct production output checks and reporting during the shift.
• Operate forklift and assist with equipment cleaning as required.
