Job summary

Bilinguallink is seeking a seasoned Chemist to lead client projects focused on plastics formulations and optimization. You will collaborate with sales, production, quality, and procurement teams to translate customer needs into concrete, innovative solutions.

The role requires a strong background in polymers, 10 years in manufacturing, and bilingual communication in French and English. You will actively drive continuous improvement and support cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or polymer science.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the plastics industry (formulation, processing, extrusion, injection, etc.).
  • Autonomy, rigor, and ability to manage projects comprehensively.
  • Analytical mind and ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and sense of innovation.
  • Scientific curiosity, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or materials.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) to communicate with partners; Spanish is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize formulations tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as a technical expert in polymers and support sales teams in product development and problem-solving.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation with clients.
  • Research new raw materials and technical solutions in collaboration with suppliers and the purchasing department.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams.
  • Support production and quality teams in troubleshooting, addressing nonconformities, and monitoring test results.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects.
