Job summary

Dyno Nobel Americas is seeking a Plant Engineer to support the identification, evaluation and execution of process technology improvements across emulsion, SME and ANFO manufacturing. The role focuses on asset management, preventive maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting and problem resolution for equipment issues.

You will work with plants to design, implement and report on growth and sustenance projects, aiming to reduce operational risk and improve safety, quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years in an emulsion manufacturing environment with troubleshooting industrial chemical processes.
• Basic knowledge of machinery, hydraulic & pneumatic systems throughout a plant.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and execute process technology improvement opportunities to improve safety and profitability.
• Provide technical support for emulsion, SME and ANFO manufacturing and operations focused on asset management and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance planners to align preventive & predictive maintenance with equipment strategies.
• Lead investigations, inspections and studies to determine equipment risk, criticality and performance.
• Support development of design standards and documentation (Work Orders, Procedures, JSA, Specifications).
• Ensure compliance with engineering design standards for manufacture of explosives and hazardous materials.
