Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a Plant Engineer to support process technology improvements in emulsion manufacturing, focusing on asset management, maintenance, reliability, and safety. You will work on design, execution and implementation of growth projects, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards across plants in the Americas.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, 5+ years in emulsion manufacturing, and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and P&ID

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• 5+ years in an emulsion manufacturing environment and troubleshooting industrial chemical processes.
• Basic knowledge of machinery, hydraulic & pneumatic systems in a plant.
• Basic knowledge of materials and production processes and infrastructure.
• 1+ year AutoCAD experience desirable; ability to read P&ID, PFD and general arrangement drawings.
• Experience with regulatory and code compliance related to engineering design and construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assure and report metrics for compliance requirements (regulatory and internal standards).
• Design, execute and implement growth and sustenance projects for emulsion facilities on time and budget.
• Manage the equipment program to reduce operational risks including mechanical and facility systems.
• Improve mechanical effectiveness, operations, safety, product quality and environmental initiatives via major equipment management."
• Ensure compliance with company engineering and design standards for explosives and hazardous materials and HSE rules.
• Coordinate preventive & predictive maintenance with planners and reliability specialists.
• Undertake investigations, inspections and data analysis to determine equipment risk and performance; update risk registers.
