Job summary

Dyno Nobel Canada is seeking a Plant Engineer to lead process technology improvements across emulsion production facilities. You will provide technical support for emulsion manufacturing and ANFO operations, focusing on asset management, preventive maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting and performance verification.

Collaborating with maintenance planners and reliability specialists, you will ensure compliance with HSE rules, standards, and regulations while driving risk reduction, efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years in emulsion manufacturing and process troubleshooting.
• Ability to read P&ID, PFD and general arrangement drawings.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a plant.
• Regulatory and code compliance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and execute process technology improvements to enhance safety and profitability.
• Provide technical support for emulsion production facilities and reliability.
• Manage equipment programs to reduce identified operational risks.
• Improve mechanical effectiveness and plant safety through maintenance strategies.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and HSE rules.
• Collaborate with maintenance planners and reliability specialists on work plans.
• Investigate and analyze equipment risk, criticality and performance.
• Support documentation and reliability projects, including drawings and plans.
• Ensure designs meet customer requirements and project specifications.
• Provide process technology support from idea to commissioning and verification.
• Conduct operational tests and implement process improvements for efficiency.
