Job summary

A leading global company is seeking an experienced Project Manager for managing large engineered to order projects in Edmonton. This role involves overseeing the complete project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction, and maximizing sales opportunities through effective management and communication. Ideal candidates have significant experience in project management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields.

Job description

This position is accountable for managing large customer engineered to order projects at the Edmonton, AB site to ensure the customer receives the best service possible and Schneider Electrics sales opportunities are maximized. The project scope typically incorporates complex equipment and can extend over multiple years.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership for the customer as the primary order management contact at Schneider Electric
  • Initiates, plans, executes, controls, and closes customer projects/programs
  • Confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, Bill of Material alignment with specifications, and clarifying exceptions
  • Manages complete job process from order preparation, thru manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support and financial reconciliation
  • Partners with Field Sales or higher-level project management roles to validate the project’s statement of work and contract terms with the customer
  • Manage budget, project schedule, risk & opportunities, and Variation Orders & Claims
  • Accurately and expeditiously handles all customer complaints and inquires, including status, production, delivery, and billing inquires

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical science, business (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in leading diverse business and technical teams
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have time management skills
  • Standard business application software experience to include MS Office 365, MS Excel and MS Access
  • Knowledge of ETO (Engineered to Order) products from a project management standpoint
