NorthRiver Midstream (NorthRiver) is one of North America's leading gas gathering and processing businesses on an exciting path of expansion and innovation that's not slowing down. We do energy differently.

  • We are a lean, agile, customer driven company with an asset base primarily located in the rich Montney reserves of Northeast British Columbia.
  • We have a proud and well-earned reputation for safe, reliable operations.
  • We've made real commitments to measurable emission reductions and sustainability, and our results back this up.
  • We have a verifiable track record of meaningful indigenous partnership founded on mutual respect.
  • Our culture is one of partnership, collaboration, ownership and an unwavering commitment to finding solutions together.

Why work for us?

  • We're a team that cares about each other. We've got each other's back.
  • We believe that the best ideas win, no matter where they come from.
  • We're the perfect size - lean and agile.
  • We're big enough that there are great opportunities for career growth and personal development.

We’re looking for the right people to join our all-star team who will immediately fit in with some of the best midstream operator professionals in our industry. We’re looking for:

  • A team player: You bring more than just your technical skills to the table; you bring a collaborative spirit. You actively contribute to the success of the group, offering support, sharing knowledge, and stepping up when needed.
  • A problem solver who gets how things connect: You’re someone who dives into data, breaking down complex problems, and finds logical, efficient solutions. You’re the type of person who thinks in systems - seeing the big picture while making sure all the moving parts fit together smoothly. You naturally connect the dots, anticipate challenges, and find the best way through.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: You are curious and flexible, handling situations without a playbook. You tackle challenges creatively and come up with innovative solutions.
  • You are independent and resourceful: You take initiative and thrive when working solo. When faced with obstacles, you find smart, efficient ways to move forward without needing constant guidance.

What you’ll do:

Here is a sample for some of what your workdays may look like:

  • Efficiently operate at one of the 5x Peace Arch Operating facilities stretching from Dawson Creek to Spirit River, ensuring adherence to established procedures and guidelines to meet contract demands and corporate expectations for quality, safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to complete assigned tasks, ensuring the reliability of plant systems and minimizing operational downtime.
  • Maintain the highest safety standards by following plant safety practices, complying with WHMIS, TDG, WCB regulations, and ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulations. Manage emissions and spills in the event of process upsets, taking proactive steps to minimize environmental impact.
  • Continuously optimize plant operations for maximum efficiency and cost reduction. Regularly assess and improve operational processes, while also performing minor maintenance tasks to support the plant's performance.

What we offer:

  • A culture of continuous learning and mentorship from the best in the business (and fun!).
  • An opportunity to work at multiple field sites.

What you bring:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Completion of all GPO (Gas Plant Operator) modules.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or oil and gas facility
