Job summary

Carbon Engineering is hiring a Plant Operator in Squamish, BC. The role involves operating plant equipment on a 12-hour shift pattern (7-on/7-off) and supporting test campaigns and production activities.

The position is a 12-month temporary assignment paid via a contractor. We seek candidates with 3–5 years of plant operations experience, a Chemical Technology or Engineering Technology diploma (Power Engineering asset), and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Education: Chemical Technology Diploma or Engineering Technology Diploma; Power Engineering certification is an asset.
• 3–5 years of plant operations experience in industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Develop, implement, and maintain operation policies and permits.
• Coordinate with maintenance and contractors on site.
• Perform field troubleshooting and assist with plant turnarounds.
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to SOPs for plant operations.
• Provide training and guidance to new operators.
