Job summary

Carbon Engineering seeks a Plant Operator to join our Squamish-based operations. You will run plant equipment, execute test campaigns, and maintain safety while supporting process development and future plant design.

The role follows a 7-on/7-off 12-hour shift pattern in Squamish, BC, with a 12-month temporary contract through a third-party contractor. Pay ranges from $40 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Diplomas in chemical/engineering tech are assets for the role.
• Power Engineering certification is considered an asset.
• 3–5 years of plant operations experience in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Develop and follow permits for daily operations.
• Coordinate maintenance and report issues to the team.
• Support test campaigns and process development activities.
• Maintain site housekeeping and safety compliance.
• Assist in training new Plant Operators.
