Job Description
Our client is looking for a Plant Manager in the GTA. They have 3 production facilities and currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead their Mississauga plant. If you enjoy working on daily issues but can keep your eye on long-term goals, then you may be the right fit for their organization.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates leadership by example, achieving corporate goals while maintaining a harmonious work environment.

- Organizes and optimizes operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Questions the status quo to improve production output, product quality, and on-time delivery standards daily.
- Develops systems and processes to enhance productivity and ease of work for employees.
- Prioritizes activities, focusing on less urgent but important tasks over urgent but less important ones.
- Implements corporate strategies to achieve set goals.
- Maintains a trusting, open, yet professional relationship with employees.
- Fosters a win-win attitude towards employee issues, both personal and work-related.
- Enjoys solving operational issues and implementing plant improvements.
- Promotes and adheres to personnel and plant safety procedures.
- Analyzes personnel strengths and weaknesses, encouraging self-improvement.
- Is hands-on in solving operational challenges and implementing improvements.
- Places continuous improvement at the core of plant operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of production management experience.
- Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent mechanical experience is an asset.
