Role Summary:

Based in Cambridge, Ontario, the Plant Controller is responsible for managing all financial aspects of Bimeda’s two main North American manufacturing facilities in Cambridge, Ontario and LeSueur, Minnesota. The role involves ensuring effective management of financial performance and operations, providing financial guidance, analysis, and recommendations to drive business growth, efficiency, and profitability. The Plant Controller collaborates with senior management, operational teams, and other departments to optimize financial results and meet long-term financial goals. This position requires quarterly travel to support multi-site operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Financial/Business Partnership: Collaborate with site leadership to ensure ownership of financial performance, identify process improvements, manage financial reporting, and assist in budget creation and achievement.
2. Analysis: Analyze operational and financial data, develop strategies for cost reduction, and present financials and scorecards to leadership.
3. Forecasting: Manage forecasting processes, analyze trends, and make recommendations.
4. Cost Accounting, Inventory & Assets: Oversee systems for accurate costing, inventory, and asset accounting.
5. Month-End Close: Support month-end close processes as needed.

Additional responsibilities may include other relevant duties as the role develops.

Required competencies include accountability, collaboration, planning, problem-solving, and stress/time management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred; Master’s degree an asset.
• 8+ years’ experience as a site controller, preferably with multi-site or large single-site experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, forecasting, and compliance with financial regulations in Canada and the US.
• Skills in leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution.
