Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto, Canada is seeking an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to lead planning and scheduling across construction projects, coordinating with Project Managers, Operations and Controls.

You will develop integrated Primavera P6 schedules from planning through commissioning, align schedules with budgets and resources, produce control reports, and travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of project planning, scheduling, or project controls experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Experience with project controls, scheduling, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance reporting in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project settings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with TILOS linear scheduling is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Travel and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers, Operations, and Project Controls throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 from planning through commissioning.
• Review project scope, drawings, estimates, and execution plans to create detailed WBS and schedule logic.
• Identify critical and near-critical paths, monitor schedule performance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Integrate schedules with project budgets, resources, productivity metrics, and forecasting.
• Track progress against baseline schedules.
• Prepare project control reports, including S-curves and schedule performance updates.
• Analyze schedule, cost, productivity, and change management data for forecasting and decision-making.

• • Partner closely with Project Managers, Operations, and Project Controls throughout the project lifecycle
• • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 from planning through commissioning
• • Review project scope, drawings, estimates, and execution plans to create detailed work breakdown structures and schedule logic
• • Identify critical and near-critical paths, monitor schedule performance, and recommend corrective actions
• • Integrate schedules with project budgets, resources, productivity metrics, and forecasting
• • Track progress against baseline schedules
• • Prepare project control reports, including S-curves, manpower histograms, and schedule performance updates
• • Analyze schedule, cost, productivity, and change management data for forecasting and decision-making
• • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders on scheduling standards and reporting requirements
• • Support proposals, look-ahead planning, project forecasting, and development of junior schedulers and project controls personnel
• • Travel to project sites as required and work in fast-paced construction environments, including remote locations and extended project assignments

• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
• Experience with project controls, scheduling, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance reporting in a construction or infrastructure environment
