Job summary

Enbridge seeks an experienced project controls professional to oversee performance analysis and reporting for a portfolio of Major Projects. You will monitor cost and schedule, forecast accuracy, and mitigation plans to prevent overruns.

Lead and mentor a team of cost and schedule experts, ensuring disciplined execution in North American oil and gas projects and strong collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business/Accounting or related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience in project controls or related fields.
  • Experience in North American oil and gas project delivery and construction management.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project performance analysis and reporting for Major Projects.
  • Track controls performance to updates spend profile, forecast, and schedule updates.
  • Identify potential cost and schedule overruns and implement mitigation plans with the project team.
  • Ensure accurate cost/schedule integration to track earned value and close work orders and PO’s.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and mentorship to cost/schedule professionals throughout the lifecycle.

Job description

  • Responsible for project performance analysis and reporting for a portfolio of Major Projects.
  • Tracking project controls performance to ensure updates to spend profile, forecast, and schedule updates are complete, accurate and timely.
  • Proactively identifies potential cost and schedule overruns to determine and work with project team to implement appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Ensures accurate cost and schedule integration to track earned value and ensure work orders and purchase orders are tracked and closed.
  • Provides day‑to‑day leadership and technical guidance to a team of cost and schedule professionals to develop, progress, analyze and report project cost and schedule performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Hire, onboard, lead, coach and mentor direct report personnel to Enbridge specifications, processes, procedures, practices, tools, and standard methodologies and organizational change.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering or Business / Accounting or a related field.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience.
  • Progressive industrial project experience in a Total Project Delivery environment.
  • Experience in project controls, contract administration and construction management within the North American oil and gas industry.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with proven track record to lead independently and/or coordinate work with diverse groups and individual personnel.
  • Exceptional execution planning, work management, problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills.
  • Software experience with: MS Office Suite, Oracle, Primavera P6 and EcoSys.
