Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Planner and Scheduler for the Building Group in Surrey to develop CPM-based baseline schedules, maintain master schedules, and respond to RFPs. You will monitor progress, analyze schedule health, and collaborate with project teams on scheduling strategies.

The role requires a construction-related degree/diploma and at least three years of scheduling experience, with Primavera P6 proficiency.

Qualifications

  • CPM-based baseline scheduling for projects.
  • Prepare and revise master schedules and responses to RFPs.
  • Monitor progress and report schedule health bi-weekly or monthly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a full CPM logic generated baseline schedules for projects.
  • Participate in planning and schedule preparation during pursuits and respond to RFP documents in projects.
  • Prior to project start, create and revise preliminary master schedules and proposal for Operations detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic and competitive
  • Evaluate construction progress and perform regular progress updates and prepare reports for evaluation of the schedule health.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items
  • Identify unplanned events and incorporate their impacts into the schedule
  • Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a snapshot comparison of the project schedule.

You as a Planner and Scheduler for our Building Group will:
  • Develop a full Critical Path Method (CPM) logic generated baseline schedules for projects.
  • Participate in the planning and schedule preparation process during pursuits and respond to RFP documents in projects.
  • Prior to project start, create and revise preliminary master schedules and proposal for Operations detailing the sequence of all work to be performed to ensure schedule is realistic and competitive
  • Evaluate construction progress and perform regular progress updates (bi-weekly or monthly) and prepare the reports for evaluation of the schedule health. Maintain the integrity of the master schedule for each project and identify and record the impact of work performed according to the schedule. Prepare and maintain the project schedule log on a regular basis.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining a database of construction productivity rates, procurement durations, lead times and project risk items
  • Identify unplanned events (new changes/ unforeseen conditions) and incorporate their impacts into the schedule
  • Develop as-built versus as-planned schedules to provide a manageable “snapshot” comparison of the project schedule.
Is this the right role for you?
  • You have a construction-related degree/diploma and three years of construction scheduling experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
  • You have experience working with institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential projects
  • You have a working knowledge of computer scheduling program Primavera P6
  • Strong communication skills - oral and written
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others as a team
  • The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000
