Job summary

Gestal is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage purchasing activities, supplier relations, and cost optimization. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and alignment with production schedules within a dynamic team.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in administration or operations management, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office, with BAAN as a bonus. Fluency in French and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and ensure timely receipt of parts per the production schedule.
• Administer portfolio activities related to invoices and order pricing issues.
• Maintain supplier relationships to optimize quality, cycle time and costs while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Track and validate delivery of parts in production with internal partner functions (Logistics - Line Function).
• Maintain operational and financial KPIs.

Job description

What are your contributions to the team?

• Place purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and ensure parts are received on time and according to the production schedule
• Administer portfolio activities related to invoices and order pricing issues
• Maintain supplier relationships to ensure customer satisfaction, while optimizing quality, cycle time and costs for the organization
• Track and validate the delivery of parts in production in close collaboration with internal partner functions (Logistics - Line Function)
• Maintain operational and financial key performance indicators
• Interact with various multidisciplinary teams (Logistics - Line, Programs, Finance, Production and Quality)
• Apply and monitor contractual conditions with the supplier
• Negotiate and implement change management requests and secure associated purchase order requirements

How to thrive in this role?

• You have a bachelor's degree in administration or operations management and a minimum of five (5) years of experience
• You have experience with SAP and BAAN (an asset)
• You possess a strong ethical sense and are customer-oriented
• You have good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills as well as good interpersonal skills
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office
• You are bilingual (spoken and written French and English)
