Job summary

White River Forest Products LP in Ontario is seeking a dedicated lumber handler to join our sawmill team. You will saw, trim and plane rough lumber, monitor log movement to meet specifications, set up and adjust saw equipment, and complete reports.

This permanent, full-time position offers 40 hours per week with morning, evening, night shifts, and benefits including dental, disability, health care, and a pension plan.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• Experience is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes.
• Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts follow specifications.
• Set up and adjust saw equipment.
• Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment.
• Complete reports.
