Job summary

Eataly North America in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Pizza Maker to produce roman-style pizza alla pala according to authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead.

You will prepare pizzas, maintain quality and safety standards, and engage guests about pizza production while working toward mastering all shifts in a fast-paced, on-site environment. Salary and benefits reflect a full-time role in Canada.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends

Job Description

A Pizza Maker is responsible for producing roman-style pizza alla pala in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery & Pala Lead.

• Prepares pizzas according to specific recipes

• Maintains a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards
• Works towards mastering all shifts in pizza production
• Assists Sales Associates if needed and engages with guests interested in learning about pizza production
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a back of house production position
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible, open schedule often including evenings and weekends preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for at least 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to work with a wood burning oven, electric pizza convection oven and commercial spiral mixer

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is CAD $19.00-$21.00hourly
