Job summary

Aker Solutions ASA is seeking motivated Junior and Intermediate Piping Designers for our St. John’s Engineering team.

You will contribute to the design and development of piping systems, ensuring work aligns with specifications, codes and industry standards. You will collaborate with engineering, produce 3D models, GA drawings, isometrics, and support fabrication drawings, while helping the planning group develop work packs and schedules.

Qualifications

• Technical college diploma or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience within a brownfield industrial environment.
• Experience with 3D computer-aided design software and techniques.
• Awareness of standard methods and practices used for engineering design offices.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling of piping systems, supports, & equipment based on classification and project specifications.
• Producing general arrangement drawings from P&ID’s, piping isometrics, and detailed support fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with the engineering department to develop designs and resolve design issues.
• Provide planning department with necessary information for the development of work packs.

Our St. John’s office is seeking motivated Junior and Intermediate Piping Designers to join our Engineering team!

As part of a multidisciplinary onshore engineering department, you will contribute to the design and development of piping systems, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, and industry standards.

What will you be doing?

• 3D modeling of piping systems, supports, & equipment based on classification and project specifications.
• Producing general arrangement drawings from P&ID’s, piping isometrics, and detailed support fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with the engineering department to develop designs and resolve design issues.
• Provide planning department with necessary information for the development of work packs.

We think you should have:
