Job summary

Aker Solutions is seeking motivated Junior and Intermediate Piping Designers to join our St. John’s Engineering team. You will contribute to the design and development of piping systems, ensuring work aligns with specifications, codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling, creation of general arrangement drawings, collaboration with engineering, and providing planning information for work packs. Growth and training opportunities are offered in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Technical college diploma or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience within a brownfield industrial environment.
• Experience with 3D computer-aided design software and techniques.
• Awareness of standard methods and practices used for engineering design offices.

As part of a multidisciplinary onshore engineering department, you will contribute to the design and development of piping systems, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with applicable specifications, codes, and industry standards.

What will you be doing?

• 3D modeling of piping systems, supports, & equipment based on classification and project specifications.
• Producing general arrangement drawings from P&ID’s, piping isometrics, and detailed support fabrication drawings.
• Collaborate with the engineering department to develop designs and resolve design issues.
