Job summary

Plains is seeking a Project Manager for our Calgary, Alberta office to lead pipeline and oil/gas processing projects. You will work with Business Development and Execution to define scope, develop preliminary designs, cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers for viable initiatives.

The role supports project planning, escalation modeling, and benchmarking while ensuring regulatory compliance and coordination with diverse stakeholders. Travel may be limited.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and professional designation (P.Eng) with APEGA registration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline and oil/gas processing projects.
• Familiarity with Canadian codes (CSA Z662, ABSA, CER) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope with Plains business units and develop execution plans.
• Coordinate estimates, schedules, risks, and lookbacks for viable projects.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and maintain project benchmarking.
