Job summary

Plains is seeking a Project Manager in Calgary, Alberta to lead initial scope, design, estimates, schedules, risks and execution plans for viable projects. You will liaise with Business Development and Operations to ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in pipeline/oil/gas PM, P.Eng and APEGA registration, and proficiency with MS Project. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement in a growing network.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with P.Eng and APEGA registration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline and oil/gas processing projects.
• Familiarity with CSA Z662, ABSA, CER regulations.
• Knowledge of AACE and PMI estimating and project practices.
• Knowledge of cost estimating systems, benchmarking, and risk modeling.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and scheduling tools.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish project scope with Business Development and Execution teams.
• Develop preliminary designs, cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers.
• Provide technical consultation to project teams and Operations.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Maintain cost estimating practices and industry benchmarks.
• Support go/no go decisions with executives and maintain project portfolio.
