Job summary

Falcon Contracting Ltd. in Prince George, BC is seeking an Experienced Commercial/Domestic Pipe Layer to join our team. You will install underground utilities, lay out pipe routes, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Requirements include CSTS2020, Ground Disturbance Level 2, Confined Space, a Class 5 driver's license, and the ability to work out of town. We offer competitive rates and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reading plans and using laser levels required.
• Experience in operating packers and hand tools required.
• Equipment operating experience considered an asset.
• CSTS2020 Certification required.
• Ground disturbance level 2 required.
• Confined space certification required.
• Class 5 drivers license with a clean abstract.
• Self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic with reliability.
• Willing to work out of town.

Responsibilities

• Installing underground utilities to designed grades and applicable construction standards including storm, water, and sewer mains + services.
• Lay out pipe routes, following written instructions or blueprints, and coordinating layouts with supervisors.
• Pre-locating existing utilities and working with heavy equipment to ensure that existing utilities are exposed without contact.
• Ability to locate and repair existing utilities.
• Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.
• Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Ensure that all installed materials are properly bedded.
• Notifying the supervisor of any installation conflicts immediately.
• Willing to assist on other tasks with hands-on work when needed.

We are looking for Experienced Commercial/Domestic Pipe Layer to join the team in ourPrince George, BC head office.

• Must be willing to work out of town.
