Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is actively seeking skilled Pipefitters/Plumbers to support projects across Northern BC and Saskatchewan. The role focuses on safe handling of equipment, piping fabrication, and installation of various piping systems, including pressurized lines.

Applicants should be enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program or have relevant experience. We offer competitive benefits, RRSPs, and professional training.

Qualifications

• Experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
• Willingness to work a 14/7 and/or 14/14 rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Knowledge of piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending pipes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of equipment including forklift, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Hoisting, rigging, and scaffold erection performed safely.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, or fuel.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies.
• Establish precise control points and transfer levels over long distances.
• Work with threaded PVC, CPVC, HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems.

To add to this expertise, we are recruiting for Pipefitters/Plumbers for a projects in Northern BC and SK, to join our collaborative and team focused organization.

As our Pipefitter/Plumber, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview

• Responsible for safe and conscientious use of equipment including forklift, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Proficient in safe methods of hoisting, rigging, and scaffold erection.
• Proficient in material take-offs.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pressurized piping systems.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Establishing control points with accuracy.
• Able to transfer levels over large distances with accuracy
• Working on threaded PVC, CPVC HDPE, PFA, PEX and Victaulic piping systems

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of experience in pipefitting or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• HDPE Fusion ticket would be an asset.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 and/or 14/14 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Experience with compressed air piping and process hot/cold water piping systems.
• Experience with PVC/HDPE and stainless-steel piping.
• Knowledge of water treatment and/or wastewater treatment facility construction an asset.
• Valid Zoom Boom ticket is considered an asset.
• Pre-Access drug & alcohol testing might be required.
