Job summary

Perimeter Aviation LP is seeking a 705 Captain based in Timmins, Ontario. You will conduct flights safely, ensuring passenger comfort and on-time performance. Responsibilities include flight planning, weight/balance, pre/post flight duties, and coordinating with dispatch while maintaining TC standards.

The role requires ATPL with 3000+ hours, Group 1 Instrument Rating, and a DH8 background is an asset. Fluency in English and ability to work in a dynamic environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and able to demonstrate listening comprehension.
• Able to obtain/maintain security clearances and authorizations.
• ATPL with 3000+ hours total time is required.
• DH8 experience is considered an asset.
• Cultural awareness training is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct flights per SOPs, CAR, AFM and Operations Manual.
• Check weather and NOTAMs; determine fuel and oil requirements.
• Calculate weight and balance of the airplane.
• Review, amend and accept the Operational Flight Plan (Type B 705).
• Complete pre-flight inspection and post-flight duties.
• Load/unload cargo as required and coordinate with dispatch.
• Maintain Transport Canada Pilot qualifications and perform additional duties.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 705 Captain transports thousands of passengers each year. As a pilot, your number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration the comfort of each passenger and on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Conduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual
• Check weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available and determine fuel and oil requirements
• Calculate the airplane weight and balance
• Review, amend and accept the Operational Flight Plan(Type B 705 operation)
• Complete an airplane pre-flight inspection before each departure
• Load, unload and secure cargo/freight as required
• Complete flight watch jointly with the flight dispatcher (Type B 705 operation)
• Complete all post flight duties, including notification/confirmation to the Company of the whereabouts of the airplane when away from base, recording flight times and any defects
• Continue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada Qualification standards for a Pilot
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
• Category 1 Medical
• Current Group 1 Instrument Rating
• Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with 3000 Hours Total Time
• 500 hours on a DH8 would be considered an asset
• Pilots must be fluent in English, and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehension
• Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset

Working Conditions

• Physically able to perform all listed job duties
• Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
• Work performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods
