Job summary

Air Liquide Canada is seeking a Pick-up & Delivery Driver in Cambridge to provide safe, efficient delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies. You will plan routes, load/unload, maintain logs, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement, TDG certification, and at least 2 years of delivery experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement, along with an acceptable driver’s abstract.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the delivery industry.
  • Mechanical ability and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of compressed gases and basic welding processes.
  • TDG certification and MS Office skills are strong assets.
  • Physical capability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and courteous delivery of cylinder gases and welding supplies; pick up empty cylinders as required; maintain a personal liaison with Customers, Account Executives, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams.
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently with team members in accordance with regulations; plan out the day based on dispatched items; drive to required sites, pick up empties, and offload trucks upon return.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and general appearance of the truck and equipment; report any system-related problems immediately to the CMS team.
  • Inspect all cylinder shipments and returns; tag damaged or defective cylinders with customer details and documentation; record issues and customer complaints in the Quality System.
  • Issue accurate delivery notes and receipts to ensure correct invoicing; maintain accurate truck records (PANDA, TDG, WHMIS documentation, highway log) following all CMS procedures.
  • Operate vehicles, tools, dock plates, and tailgates safely; fully participate in ALC’s safety program; report unsafe conditions or accidents immediately to the Supervisor or Safety Champion; advise customers on proper handling and storage of cylinders.

Job Summary:

The main objective and purpose of this position consist in providing safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for compressed gases and welding supplies.
