Job summary

Air Liquide in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, QC, is hiring a Pickup and Delivery driver to provide safe, efficient gas pickup and delivery, while upholding quality and safety goals.

Responsibilities include route checks, loading/unloading, vehicle maintenance, customer service, driving safely, and accurate paperwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a Class 3 license with air brakes, and ability to lift up to 50 kg. Knowledge of Google Suite is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 3 driver's license with air brakes.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including Google Suite.
• 2 years of experience in industrial delivery is a definite plus.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 kg.

Responsibilities

• Checks delivery routes, road conditions, vehicle condition, and customer requirements to ensure efficient restocking of customer cylinder inventories.
• Loads and unloads trucks and collects cylinders as needed.
• Maintains trucks and equipment.
• Inspects cylinders.
• Delivers bottled gas and welding products to customers.
• Maintains contact with customers, account managers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams.
• Drives the vehicle safely for everyone’s safety.
• Reports unsafe conditions and accidents.
• Advises customers on proper cylinder handling and storage methods.
• Generates delivery and receipt forms using computer systems.
• Keeps accurate truck logs.
• Adheres to GMP regarding medical gases and medical devices within duties.

Summary Job description :

The primary objective of the pickup and delivery driver is to provide a safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous gas pickup and delivery service, while promoting ALC's quality and safety goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Checks delivery routes, road conditions, vehicle condition, and customer requirements to ensure the efficient and timely restocking of customer cylinder inventories.
• Loads and unloads trucks and collects cylinders as needed.
• Is responsible for the maintenance of trucks and equipment.
• Is responsible for inspecting cylinders.
• Provides customers with prompt and courteous delivery of bottled gas and/or welding products.
• Maintains a personal connection with customers, account managers, warehouse staff, and customer service teams.
• Drives the vehicle safely, ensuring both their own safety and that of all persons exposed to the equipment.
• Reports all unsafe conditions and accidents.
• Advises customers on proper cylinder handling and storage methods.
• Generates delivery and receipt forms using computer systems.
• Maintains accurate truck logs.
• Adheres to and complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regarding medical gases and medical devices within the scope of their duties.
