Job summary

Arcadia Academy of Music in Burlington is seeking a passionate Piano Instructor to teach engaging one-on-one piano lessons for students of all ages and levels. Lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes, with opportunities to guide students through RC(M) examinations, performances, and festivals.

You will teach in-person at our Burlington studio, build confidence in students, and contribute to a welcoming learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching piano to students ages 4 and up.
• Two or more years of piano teaching experience.
• A music degree or diploma is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, organization and passion for music education.
• Availability to teach in person at the Burlington studio.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging, private piano lessons tailored to each student's goals and learning style.
• Develop students' technical skills, musicianship, sight-reading, ear training and music theory.
• Select appropriate repertoire based on age, ability and interests.
• Prepare students for RCM examinations, recitals, festivals and performances.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, professional learning environment supporting long-term musical growth.

We have immediate teaching opportunities with a consistent student schedule available Monday through Friday.

About the Position:

As a Piano Instructor, you'll teach engaging one-on-one lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced musicians. Lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes, and you'll have the opportunity to guide students through personal goals, Royal Conservatory (RCM) examinations, performances, and music festivals.

Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging, personalized private piano lessons tailored to each student's goals and learning style.
• Develop students' technical skills, musicianship, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory.
