Job description

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is looking for a Part-Time, Full-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing team!

Location: Cannington, ON

Status: Part-Time, Full-Time

In this role, you will:

1. Assist the supervising physiotherapist in implementing treatment plans for residents in care communities.
2. Perform treatments as prescribed, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, and modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and TENS.
3. Deliver safe and effective group exercise classes for residents.
4. Prepare and clean equipment used during treatments.
5. Maintain a safe and tidy treatment environment.
6. Communicate regularly with the physiotherapist regarding resident status and treatment updates.
7. Record treatments using Seniors Wellness' web-based system.

Qualifications:

1. PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology, or similar healthcare qualification.
2. Experience in LTC setting is an asset.
3. Standard First Aid & CPR Certification.
4. Vulnerable Sector screening (within 6 months).
5. Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux) clearance.
