Job summary

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant in Clinton, Ontario. The role supports the supervising physiotherapist with treatment plans for residents in long-term care settings.

Responsibilities include performing prescribed treatments, leading group exercise classes, and maintaining clean, safe treatment spaces. Strong communication with the physiotherapist is essential.

Qualifications

• PTA/OTA diploma or a degree in Kinesiology or similar healthcare background.
• LTC experience is an asset.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector screening within 6 months.
• Proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance.

• Perform treatments as prescribed by the supervising physiotherapist, including gait training and balance exercises.
• Deliver group exercise classes for residents in a safe, dynamic manner.
• Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after treatments.
• Ensure resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the physiotherapist about changes or concerns.
• Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' web-based system.

Lifemark Seniors Wellness is looking for a Permanent Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant to join our growing team!

Location: Clinton, ON

Status: Permanent Part-Time

Schedule: 27 hours/week

In this role you will:

• Assist the supervising physiotherapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities
• Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises,
  transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS)
• Deliver dynamic, safe and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of residents
• Set up and prepare equipment and clean up after residents' treatments
• Ensure that the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy
• Maintain regular ongoing communication with the physiotherapist regarding any changes or concerns about a resident's status or treatment interventions
• Record daily treatments using Seniors Wellness' proprietary, web-based system

Qualifications:

• PTA/OTA diploma, degree in Kinesiology or a similar healthcare background
• Previous experience within an LTC setting an asset.
• A valid Vulnerable Sector screening check (within 6 months)
