Interior Health Authority in Penticton is hiring a permanent full-time Physiotherapist at the Penticton Health Centre. You will assess, plan and deliver physiotherapy services as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, with emphasis on promoting functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
• Develop and implement physiotherapy treatment plans and programs.
• Provide education to clients and caregivers to support functional independence.
• Offer equipment prescription and consult with team on care.
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education activities.
• Mentor the rehabilitation assistant and collaborate with colleagues to achieve department goals.

About The Role

The Physiotherapist functions both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services. These include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and/or their caregivers to support functional independence and optimize health outcomes.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Physiotherapist contributes to departmental and professional goals by participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities. They also provide guidance and direction to the rehabilitation assistant working within the team.
