Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Nova Scotia is seeking a Physiotherapist (PT) to lead and coordinate physiotherapy services for residents in long-term care. You will assess residents, develop treatment plans, and supervise PT assistants while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
You will also educate staff, residents, and families on mobility, falls prevention, and safe handling during daily care.

The Physiotherapist reports to the Director of Quality and Professional Practiceand oversees the delivery of physiotherapy services to seniors living in longterm care. The physiotherapist completes assessments, develops treatment plans,collaborates with colleagues to determine care plan goals, oversees thephysiotherapy team effectiveness, and provides clinical supervision to PTassistants The physiotherapist regularly educates long term care staff,residents and family members in several areas including falls management, saferesident handling and mobility. Effective leadership in a multidisciplinary team is a requirement ofthis position as the physiotherapist co-chairs the Falls Prevention and SafeResident Handling & Mobility Committees.
Commensurate with Experience
The regularhours of work for this position are intended to be 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Mondaythrough Friday. Given the scope and responsibility of the role, there may be aneed to flex hours outside this range.
