Job summary

Northern Health in British Columbia is seeking a registered Physiotherapist to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient responses to physiotherapy treatment within the hospital setting, including the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Hospital@Home. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, support department goals, and participate in ongoing quality improvement activities.

This role requires a strong work ethic and commitment to patient education.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist with current BC registration.
• Experience in hospital or interdisciplinary care is preferred.
• Strong assessment and education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan appropriate physiotherapy interventions.
• Implement treatment plans and educate patients about exercises.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and adjust accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and contribute to quality improvement.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, educating and evaluating patient response to physiotherapy treatment. The physiotherapist is part of an interdisciplinary team and assists with the hospital and departmental goals and objectives including continuing quality improvement activities.
THIS POSITION IS A 4-ON/4-OFF ROTATING POSITION ASSIGNED TO POST-ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT/HOSPITAL@HOME.
