Job summary

The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a qualified physiotherapist to join its interdisciplinary team. The role requires a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and successful registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO).

Proficiency in English and French is expected, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Rotation involves day shifts including weekends; a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

Rotation/Shifts

Days, including weekends, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

• Master's of Science - in Physiotherapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO);
• Successful completion of registration and examination process for physiotherapy as set by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO);
• Working knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing board (CPO);
• Eligible for Certification in CPR and/or First Aid;
• Superior interpersonal skills;
• Superior written and verbal communication skills;
• Superior problem solving and judgment skills;
• Ability to work within a team in an interdisciplinary setting;
• Demonstrated experience with electronic information and communication systems;
• Proficiency in English and French oral expression (level 4 - advanced) and comprehension (level 4 - advanced).

The Ottawa Hospital uses a 5-level language proficiency scale to define the required level of language skills in English and in French for positions at the Hospital, and to evaluate job candidate language skills. Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English‑speaking clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in adult rehabilitation
• Recent experience in adult cardiac inpatient rehabilitation.
