Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Physiotherapist to assess neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems and to implement treatment and rehabilitation plans in home or residential settings across Ontario. You will collaborate with an inter-professional team to promote mobility and independence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, and willingness to travel to client residences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent required.
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (the College).
• Willingness to travel to and from client residences within a designated area.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to travel to client residences within a geographical area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client assessments, identification of problems, and establishment of goals and treatment plans.
• Develop client-centered plans with clients, inter-professional team and other stakeholders.
• Engage clients using a collaborative approach, build rapport and trust, and achieve mutual understanding of services to be provided.
• Maintain professional client records related to encounters and plans.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including government agencies, healthcare workers, and community resources.

The goal is to develop, maintain, rehabilitate, or augment function and promote mobility. Care will take place within a residential or institutional setting with referrals generated by a variety of sources.
