Job summary

Extendicare in Ontario is seeking a Physiotherapist to assess neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems and provide treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injury or pain. Care will take place in residential or institutional settings with referrals from various sources.

You will work with pediatric and adult clients, travel within designated areas, maintain professional records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-centered care and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  • Willingness to travel to client residences within a designated area and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client assessments and establish treatment plans.
  • Develop client-centered plans with the inter-professional team and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain professional client records of client encounters and plans.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including government agencies, healthcare workers, and community resources.
